This image shows the upper part of the Cepheus constellation as shown in the image below:
This region is filled with huge clouds of dust against a background of thousands of stars.
The image was taken using a William Optics Spacecat 51 in combination with a Nikon D810a, a dedicated DSLR for astrophotography. In total 84 exposures of 300s were taken at ISO800. These images were combined with 83x600s of luminance data taken with a QSI583ws with a TMB92ss telescope.
This resultated in a widefield image of this region with a very high resolution. Just move over the image and zoom in and be surprised! 🙂
